ALL THE NEWS THAT IS NEWS
LACY ENTERS HEAVENS GATES All of a sudden in the past week or so my Akita doggie Lacy has bad hip problems where it is difficult for her to climb the stairs. She makes it to the last two steps and that’s it. So I pull with all my might. Inside our apartment Lacy has no problem walking. Next time when we go outside Lacy cannot even climb one step. For at least an hour we are stranded at the bottom of the stairs. Lacy gives it a try and we make it to the last two steps and she cannot go any farther. Inside our apartment Lacy begins to have difficulty walking. We try to contact as many of our friends for help to carry Lacy downstairs to the vet. In 1980 Bob Edwards (Blade Parker) and I are DJs on KILT here in Houston, TX. He goes on to become a Lieutenant with Houston’s Metro Police. Early Friday morning, July 4, 2014 Bob and his lovely wife Lois call with help to carry Lacy down the stairs to the vet. While we talk on the telephone Lacy dies around 9:00 am. We think she may have heart congestion because it happens so fast. We thank volunteer David from Little Friends Pet Memorial who takes Lacy away. (http://littlefriendspetmemorial.com/) Lacy and I thank Ben Harold, Blade Parker (Bob Edwards), Bob Miller, Jim Spur, Ken Dowe, Chuck Dunaway, Mary Lynn Bass, Bruce Hathaway, Jay West, Joanie Green, Tom Ellis, Jay West, Dr. Jeff Cunningham, Frans Maritz, John Walton, John Butler, Arch and Jan Yancey, Jay Weaver, Larry Scott, Jonathan Fricke, Bill Cherry, Dave Michaels, Don Sundeen, Michael O’Shea, J R Kennedy, Casey James and Leslie Wayne Hodges for their kind words. It is so very empty and lonely here without Lacy girl who comes up to her daddy for some loving or to say that she is ready to go outside. She loves her sherbet and trimmings from daddy’s bar-b-que sandwiches. God bless Lacy.

TOM ELLIS [Veteran WABC TV, NYC WBZ TV Boston, MA & KONO TV San Antonio, TX news anchor] (Boston-Cape Cod-East Sandwich, MA) Hi, Jim and Lacy, There’s just NO WAY to come to grips with what happens at the end of a family member’s life, when you know what’s happening, but are powerless to change the course of things. What will be will be, and that’s just how it is, and there’s no sense in my trying to console you, because that can’t be done. You’ll have to face tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, and sooner or later tomorrow will be here without Lacy licking your sherbet spoons and eating your bar-b-que pork sandwich trimmings. Nothing I can say or do will change that for you. It’s all on your shoulders, and you’ll just have to bear up to what’s happening, which you know is happening. I regret that there’s nothing I can do. Tom

SAM LEE [ex KLIF-1190] (Beverly Hills, CA) Subject: Sad news about Lacy… I’m sorry Lacy has so many issues. It’s age, and age does that to all in the animal kingdom. What I do in situations like this is lay hands on the affected area, pray and speak words of healing, let the vibration energy of the creator of the universe do its work. Or, you can call your vet, and ask him/her, to do a work of kindness since you are unable to pay. Hope this helps.
