The NAB reports the Alison & Adam Memorial Fund established to support families of the victims of this summer’s murder of the WDJB TV reporters raises more than $88,000.
ARE TRAFFIC REPORTS A THING OF THE PAST? Fred Jacobs, President of Jacobs Media, wonders if we might witness the end of one of radio’s most beloved and cost-effective audience service features, live traffic reports. Car manufacturers see profits from their in-dash GPS features. Consumers learn that mobile apps like Google Maps and WAZE provide these same services. Jacobs says: Reading long alphabetical lists of area schools is no longer effective. Is this the end for radio traffic reports? What do you think?
